The technology behind smtpRS began in 2022 as MailGuard, software built for private clients and deployed into active environments from the start.
For nearly four years, the platform remained private while it was operated, refined, and expanded around real client use. That meant learning from production conditions before asking the broader market to use it.
Paravane Labs was established in 2026 to give that work a dedicated software company. On August 19, 2026, smtpRS became our first publicly available product.
